So long, and thanks for all the chocolates!

It was fond farewells last Thursday, it being Anil’s last session before he heads back to India and then off to Germany after graduating from Newcastle University.

Anil has promised to let us know how he gets on trying to find uke-sessions on his travels – or if he ends up starting new groups himself.

Anil said to thank everyone for the wonderful time he has had at Ukes4Fun – and we thank him for the chocolates (I should have taken a photo of them but they miraculously disappeared before I had a chance!)

  • there is no session Sunday 23rd July –  tomorrow
  • Sunday Sessions at The Biscuit Factory resume Sunday 4th September
  • Ukes4Fun Thursdays at The Cumberland Arms continue – no peace for the wicked :-)

Cancelled – Biscuit Factory Sessions on Sunday July 10th and 17th

The Thursday sessions at the Cumberland are still going ahead as normal. There might be a “summer break” from the Sunday sessions during August – more information to follow.

Sunday 24th April – Easter Sunday – Session Cancelled

Sunday 1st May – between Royal Wedding and May Day Holiday – To Be Confirmed.

Whether the 1st May session goes ahead will depend on the weather. If the forecast is bad then it will probably be on – to be confirmed one way or the other nearer to the date.

Lovely session last week! I've written to The Cumberland to thank them for the mince pies and mulled wine and they have confirmed that we are OK for Thursday as usual this week. Hope you can make it and, if you can't, all the best for the New Year :-)

The bad news: The Cumberland Arms is very sorry but we cannot have the “music room” next week on Nov 18th ;-(

We could not think of an alternative venue tonight but if anyone has any ideas please let me know a.s.a.p. (The Biscuit Factory closes earlier now so that is not an option).

The good news: to celebrate Ukes4Fun’s 1st birthday, the Cumberland Arms is going to bake us a cake for the session on Nov 25th :-)
